This Week, Minecraft's Ray-tracing Alpha Is Now Available On PC Minecraft has been a wildly popular game for the past ten years. Minecraft raiding servers The ray tracing technology has given it a fresh appearance. This is the ultimate in gaming graphics. It mimics the physical behavior of light and the environment to give a game an immersive, cinematic-like rendering. NVIDIA first revealed it was working on these realistic visuals for Minecraft in the year 2000. Now they're scheduled to release to Windows players on April 16th. Currently in beta, the release will feature the classic Minecraft single-player experience but with shadows, reflections, ray-traced rays, lighting and customized, realistic materials. In addition, you'll be able explore six new RTX worlds developed by community creators. These worlds comprise Aquatic Adventure, Imagination Island and Neon District, are available for free in the Minecraft Marketplace to players with Minecraft Windows 10. Minecraft raiding servers Additionally, the release that is focused on visuals brings physically-based rendering (PBR), which means surfaces are set to look more realistic regardless of whether they're rough matte stone or glossy smooth ice, and to aid in the grunt work needed to power all of this in the background and to make it all work, there's NVIDIA's DLSS 2.0. This new version of NVIDIA's AI upscaler makes use of RTX tensor cores to take images with lower resolutions and then increase it to your target resolution, purportedly doing better than the initial feature that was released with NVIDIA's RTX cards. Of course, because it's in beta, you can expect a few issues at this point. The beta does not include certain features, like multiplayer realms, third-party servers or cross-play. There are design issues and dimensions that can't be optimized for Ray-tracing. Meanwhile, banners are black, and slime mob has no face - the sort of things which will be fixed in the coming days. The release date has not yet been announced. Developers would like to hear from the community about the beta version.
