And out of business.<\/p>\n<p>To become a better financial operator the first step is to set up systems to produce reliable financial reports.<\/p>\n<p>Processes and procedures need to be created, implemented and audited to make sure everything is working properly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Most importantly, you need to create a routine<\/strong>\u00a0to read the financial reports and take action on what the information is telling you.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m a big fan of simple, one-page financial reports that are easy to read and provide only the most important information.<\/p>\n<p>Metrics, KPIs (key performance indicators) and benchmarks are a great way to present simple, useful financial information.<\/p>\n<p>To become a better operator, create systems to produce reliable numbers and set a routine so that you read the financial info on a regular basis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>One Simple Tool to Focus on Cash Flow<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Financial reports don&#8217;t need to be five pages long and filled with lots of tiny numbers. A one page financial report will do just fine.<\/p>\n<p>The one page report saves you time and brain power when reading your financial info.
